Global marketing research agency InSites Consulting further strengthens its global consumer collaboration capabilities by extending its proprietary Global Community Moderator Network in Asia-Pacific and by entering a long-term strategic partnership with Sydney-based boutique agency Direction First. Together they have successfully brought the InSites Consulting’s award-winning online research community approach Consumer Consulting Boards to brands ‘down under’. One out of three US youngsters puts getting married and having children in the top 5 of their bucket list (the list of things to do before they die). The search for Mr/Mrs Right occupies top position. But only 1 out of every 5 of those aged 15 to 25 in the US are currently in a relationship. That is why the country, together with Turkey and India, occupy the top 3 positions of countries with the highest number of singles. In India the percentage of singles amongst youngsters is as high as 90%. Both in Russia (58%) and in Germany (62%) there are much fewer singles among the youngsters. For the occasion of Valentine day, InSites Consulting organised a global survey into the behaviour of youngsters as to relationships and sex.
Mid-January, at the Warc Next Generation Research Conference in London, Niall van Santen (Senior Research Consultant at InSites Consulting) was voted ‘Rising Star of Market Research’. For this 2014 edition of the Next Generation Research event, Warc introduced the Rising Stars of Market Research theme, inviting young researchers (less than five years in the industry) to present their big idea for the future of market research.
InSites Consulting can add yet another award to its trophy-cabinet. Last month there was the NGMR Disruptive Innovator Award, this month they go for an award slightly closer to their head office. At the end of 2013 InSites Consulting the Netherlands (the Dutch branch of InSites Consulting) was voted best Belgian company in the Netherlands at the Orange Diamond Awards. This award is an initiative of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce for Belgium & Luxemburg and the Belgium-Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands.
After a presence of almost two years in the US market, InSites Consulting was recently awarded with one of the 2013 NGMR Disruptive Innovator Awards. The NGMR Awards, organized by Next Gen Market Research (NGMR) and The Market Research Event (TMRE), recognize companies and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding leadership as change agents and made significant contributions to harnessing disruptive innovation to drive research industry progress.
A mere 4% of all Americans aged 15 to 25 thinks that a brand page on Facebook is a credible source of information about the product. This indicates that such pages are no more credible to youngsters than advertising or than what a competitor would say about the brand. Last week the American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF) announced “How Cool Brands Stay Hot: Branding to Generation Y” as the winner of the 2012 Berry-AMA Book Prize for the best book in marketing. This award recognizes books whose innovative ideas have had a significant impact on marketing and related fields and set the standard for excellence.
Today InSites Consulting announced the launch of their Global Community Moderator Network, a network of more than 150 moderators in over 30 countries across all continents, supporting them in the execution of Market Research Online Communities (MROCs). The moderators are recruited based on their qualitative research experience and – more importantly – they are trained and certified in running InSites Consulting MROCs.
The use of social media continues to increase around the world. In the United States, 8 out of 10 Internet users currently make use of social media. Facebook remains by far the most popular site (7 in 10 are active on Facebook), followed by Twitter (25%) and LinkedIn (24%). The study by InSites Consulting shows that the use of social media is stimulated by the increasing use of the number of smartphones in the world. Consumers with a smartphone make more intensive use of social networking sites than those without a mobile Internet connection. People with a smartphone are also more open to conversing with brands.
In order to cope with our current growth, InSites Consulting decided to start a spin-off to inspire and coach companies on conversation management. They are delighted to announce today that Steven Van Belleghem, author of ‘The Conversation Manager’ and ‘The Conversation Company’, has accepted to take on the lead of this spin-off called B-Conversational. Steven will step down as manager of InSites Consulting to fully focus on this new challenge leading our first spin-off. As an active shareholder of B-Conversational, InSites Consulting will make sure that both companies will remain strategically aligned whilst both can focus on their specific expertise to fuel further growth.
