Your role
What is it about
As a Senior Research Consultant in our Johannesburg office, you are part of a team of enthusiastic marketers and researchers that are determined to bring the voice of consumers into the heart of our clients’ businesses, though online market research. We help our clients to let go and delegate real power to consumers, the ultimate key to making better marketing decisions and driving business growth.
In your role as a Senior Research Consultant, you will report to a Senior Research Team Director. You will fully manage research projects, with a senior team member providing training, guidance and final signoff.
While the role is mainly quantitative in nature, hybrid projects that include qualitative components, do form part of your portfolio.
Your responsibilities
What you'll do
- You will be responsible for the successful day to day running of projects that you work on.
- Questionnaire design - translating of client research objectives into questions.
- Script testing – including liaising with client and our programmers.
- Briefing of data analysts – providing detail on the analysis and outputs we require.
- Preparing an impactful report, while keeping the business objectives in mind at every step of the process.
- Trouble shooting (if needed) at any stage of the project.
- You form strong relationships with colleagues at all stages of our value chain, including panel managers, programmers, and data analysts.
- You are in contact with your clients to understand their strategic goals, which you translate into concrete research objectives. You manage client relationships throughout a research project and on an ongoing basis.
- You work closely with Research Managers that coach and support you.
- You develop market research and marketing expertise and knowledge on client projects.
Your profile
What you'll bring
Honours or Masters Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Research Psychology, Marketing, Applied Economics, or other related fields.
You have 3+ years experience in market research and a solid marketing interest.
You are fluent in English (verbal and written).
