Business Development Director – Europe

Your role

What is it about

As a European Regional Business Development Director, you are accountable for driving growth at InSites Consulting by owning the front end of the sales funnel. This means working with our Client Services Teams to identify new regional top accounts or new decision-making units (DMUs) within our existing client portfolio and converting these into new revenue streams through active prospecting. Working alongside the leadership of the Client Services team, you bring these colleagues into the prospective relationship as you pitch and help deliver the first proposal and support developing a strong working relationship to grow the account. We are ideally looking for candidates with a market research background, combined with a keen sense of commercial acumen and a natural aptitude for sales and client relationship management. In fulfillment of your business development responsibilities, you will work together with the wider Business Development Team, and our Business Directors and local European Client Services teams.
Your responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Identify new business opportunities of large regional accounts through established networks & grow ongoing profitable relationships with clients, to meet/exceed financial targets
  • Maintain a sales pipeline, manage and update a client database, forecast revenues, keep
  • number of contacts high and provide regular activity reports to the Global Head of BD
  • Focus on growing profitable relationships with European HQ businesses and European DMUs (HQ elsewhere) through a combination of deep selling and cross selling the InSites wide portfolio of solutions
  • Prepare impactful marketing and pitch materials to present to new clients
  • Receive briefs and lead the response to them by working closely with the Client Services Teams to develop engaging written proposals that demonstrate great understanding of the client’s objectives and provide an effective solution
  • Present in an engaging way and lead and/or work closely with the Client Services Teams on credential and project pitch meetings, delivering with impact
  • Demonstrate and grow excellent knowledge of the European market research landscape and report back to the Global Head of BD and Client Services Teams on points of opportunity and differentiation.
  • Understand and work with offer development, innovations, and content marketing
  • Networking on external platforms and attending key research events where appropriate and within budget
  • Attend account planning and regular sales calls in collaboration of other team members.
Your profile

What you'll bring

We are looking for an experienced colleague with 5+ years of experience in market research on the agency or client side. You are passionate about developing strong relationships with clients to really understand their needs and develop solutions to meet them. Having a strong and established networking credentials, ideally across multiple sectors: FMCG, Technology & Services, Media & Entertainments and Consumer Healthcare would be beneficial.
