Junior Data Analyst

Your role

What is it about

As a Junior Data Analyst, you are a member of Project Services: a multi-disciplinary team managing research projects from A to Z, from initial set-up to preparing client-ready deliverables. Within your team, you support senior team members in analyzing and reporting more complex and technically challenging projects. To do this, you process data in various ways, from manipulating data in analytical tools to table reporting and charting. Together with the consultant team, you dig into the project, searching for the most important findings. A Junior Data Analyst performs various steps on raw data with the purpose to verify, organise, transform, integrate and extract it to enable business systems/software to analyse the data.
Your responsibilities

What you'll do

  • You have a good understanding of data cleaning and control, following standard guidelines (e.g. speeder check, removing straight liners, etc.).
  • You run data checks on raw data to ensure quality of technical survey implementation. You do this by visually scanning the dataset and data manipulation where needed.
  • You are able to merge data files (e.g. different sources, tracking studies, loop files, etc.)
  • -You are able to manipulate data (e.g. recoding, computing new variables, etc.) to prepare for analyses and charting.
  • You are able to independently interpret technical briefings for analysis.
  • You are in the lead for analysing templated or basic surveys, including simple research plug-ins.
  • You understand the basics of hypothesis building and testing.
  • You take full ownership in running descriptive univariate and bivariate analyses (frequencies, crosstabs, correlations, etc.) with some degree of complexity (e.g. multiple countries, ) based on a concrete briefing.
  • You have a thorough understanding of basic statistical concepts (e.g. standard error, data distribution, measures of variability, etc.) and understand the meaning of your output.
  • You can create tables with the appropriate and variety of tools.
  • You are able to report efficiently simple research plug-ins (e.g. Visual Tagging, Word Marking, etc.), following standardized templates but which require a level of autonomous decision taking.
  • You assist more experienced data analysts and consultants in charting and reporting where needed based on a predefined framework.
  • You are able to set-up, update and maintain basic online dashboards, with guidance of seniors.
Your profile

What you'll bring

You have a strong interest in Market Research You have knowledge or experience of all commonly used tools / software required to do standard analysis, including Excel, SPSS / Q / Win Cross / Data Wizard or any statistical program.
