Junior Survey Programmer

Your role

What is it about

As a Junior Survey Programmer, you will be a valued member of our Project Services team, a multi-disciplinary team managing research projects from A to Z, from initial set-up to preparing client-ready deliverables. You will support projects for cool companies such as Heineken, BBC, eBay ING and many others. Within the team, you will support with the implementation of research projects, from preparing research stimuli to running technical checks, and you will have the opportunity to use your technical skills to ensure the set-up is done in the most efficient and effective way possible. You will also have to make sure that the data collection is flawless and optimized for analysis and reporting.
Your responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Your main goal as a Junior Survey Programmer will be the technical implementation of the research platforms through specialized software, which you will integrate with all the plug-in standard tools that are developed externally.
  • You will have the possibility to make advanced modifications to the survey templates, both in the back-end (e.g. adjust standard scales, create new type of question such as sliders, etc.) and front-end (e.g. adjust visualization of a question, etc.) and communicate directly with 3rd parties about technical specifications and know-how to apply them for correct functionality.
  • You can overcome technical difficulties if an implementation goes beyond the standard template and can make basic modifications to the surveys.
Your profile

What you'll bring

You're tech-savvy and open-minded, with an interest in the market research field. You have a bachelor’s degree in e.g. Marketing, Economics, Mathematics or similar. You have a good knowledge of English (spoken and written). You have around 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Why this is(n't) for you

  • You master the basics of Microsoft Office and JavaScript;
  • You have knowledge of HTML / CSS and ideally, some previous working experience in Confirmit, Decipher or similar survey implementation platforms, which will give you a head start.
  • You have no interest in scripting languages such as Confirmit or Decipher.
  • A service-oriented role does not really work for you .
