Research Manager

As a Research Manager in our Johannesburg office, you are part of a team of enthusiastic marketers and researchers that are determined to bring the voice of consumers into the heart of our clients’ businesses, though online market research. We help our clients to let go and delegate real power to consumers, the ultimate key to making better marketing decisions and driving business growth.
As a Research Manager, you report to a Senior Client Director. The key role of the Research Manager is to fully manage research projects, with a senior member providing final signoff, along with mentoring and reviewing of junior consultants’ deliverables where required.
While the role is mainly quantitative in nature, hybrid projects that include qualitative components, do form part of your portfolio.
This position is currently a hybrid position, with 2 days of the week in the Johannesburg office in Bryanston. Client meetings are on-site, which could be on any day of the week, with the expectation of attending these in person, as and when they are scheduled.
What you'll do
- You are fully responsible for running and managing projects from A to Z; from setting up a research project, and designing a questionnaire, to delivering an impactful report and presentation to the client, while keeping the business objectives in mind at every step of the process
- You liaise form strong relationships with colleagues at all stages of our value chain, including panel managers and data analysts
- You design insightful reports with actionable recommendations, to support your clients in their decision making
- You are in close contact with your clients to understand their strategic goals, which you translate into concrete research objectives. You manage client relationships throughout a research project and on an ongoing basis – and are expected to take a lead role in meetings
- You work closely with Senior Research Managers that coach and support you
- You develop market research and marketing expertise and knowledge on client projects
